Al-Mahdi & Isa (Jesus)

Warning! Before you begin to read this or do any study of another religion, pray for guidance. While it is good to know what the enemy is up to is better to not fall prey to its beliefs.

When I first started my bible studies I found that the three main religions of the world are Judaism, Christianity, & Islam. I found that interesting so I began a study of the similarities. For some reason I lost interest and moved on to another study. Every once in awhile over the years I would be reminded of that study I never fully finished. My thought is that I just wasn’t ready to learn it. God wanted me to learn other areas first but, He would show me bits and pieces as time went on. The other night I had a dream. I don’t remember all of it and it may have been influenced by the events in Africa. I remember something about a man from the north and a woman form the south joining together and something about the number 10. There was something I read in the dream that made me say, “Oh wow, that’s it!” It reminded me of a vision in Daniel. I have been trying to remember what happened but it just won’t come to me. I figure if it was important I will be shown again. The main point of the dream had to do with the antichrist. These last few days since the dream I have been led to news articles and other sources concerning Islam and their coming Al-Madhi, the twelfth Imam. So, my study has been picked back up.

For those that do not understand, or care to understand, the Islamic religion, I urge you to do some form of study on it. Even if it is just within this blog. But please pray for the guidance not to be led astray. It is too easy to be influence by the world around you. Just like the world can influence dreams. That is why God told the Israelites to stay away from the surrounding nations because He knew they could easily fall into those practices. They might seem appealing, or cause you to have doubts about the one true God. So, pray.

Years ago when I did my study on the similarities, I caught myself thinking how all three are actually worshiping the same God. Perhaps that is why God stopped me. Here is what I learned in that study. You will see how I fell into that trap.

In the King James bible, there is an Old Testament and a New Testament. The Jewish nation, Judaism, knows and follows the Old Testament. It is to them their Tanakh. It contains the laws, or Torah. Christians use both but, primarily focusing on the New Testament as we believe Jesus Christ as the Messiah and the Jewish see Him as merely a crazy blasphemes man. The Islamic religion also believes in the Old Testament, however, their views on Adam, Noah, and Abraham differ slightly. Did you know that all three religions are mentioned in the King James bible? Two of them are quite obvious while the other has little mention. Now mind you that the term Islam is not used in the King James but, from it we can find its roots. It is interesting that as Christians we can accept the beliefs of Judaism and have a sadness for them because they do not know Jesus but, we can not and will not accept the Islamic, or Muslim, religion. The Jewish nation and the Christians believe in the same God. The difference is that Christians believe God came to us in human form as Jesus Christ. The Islamic god, Allah, is the god of the Old Testament with a twist. A god of war, vengeance, and punishment. So, why is the Islamic god different from the Jewish and Christian God when we basically all follow the same start? Let’s find out in our King James bible.

Genesis 16:1-4 Now Sarai Abram’s wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.

Abraham’s wife, Sarah, was old in age and could not have children of her own will. She told Abraham to go to Hagar, her handmaid, and lay with her so that maybe she could gain children that way and Abraham would have children to pass his inheritance onto. After it was all said and done, Hagar became pregnant and Sarah became upset about the whole thing and took it out on Hagar. We often do that in our own lives. Not thinking through the whole outcome of events. It sounded good at the time then we have regret after it’s done and over. Hagar gave Abraham a son, Ishmael. Sarah, jealous of the outcome, sent Hagar away.

Genesis 16:6-12  But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thine hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face. And the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur. And he said, Hagar, Sarai’s maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai. And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands. And the angel of the Lord said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude. And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lord hath heard thy affliction. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

God promised Hagar that her seed would be multiplied exceedingly. This seed will be against every man and every man will be against it. Christianity teaches that Abraham’s seed was multiplied and blessed, however, they teach that the seed is only the Jewish nation. When God told Abraham that his seed will be multiplied He meant all of Abraham’s seed, including Ishmael.

Christians are taught about the Twelve Tribes of Israel. These are the sons of Jacob, the son of Isaac, who is the son of Abraham. These are the ones whom are blessed and multiply. They never mention the other Twelve Tribes that are also blessed and multiply.

God told Abraham: Genesis 17:5-7  Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.  And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

Genesis 17:19-21 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

Genesis 24:12-17 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, bare unto Abraham: And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam, And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa, Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah: These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations. And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.

Hopefully, now you have learned that through Abraham’s seed came the birth of two main religions. Judaism and Islam. These two are brothers. Brothers who just can’t seem to get along. Why do you ask?

Genesis 21:10-21  Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac. And the thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight because of his son. And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called. And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

After Isaac was born Sarah could not bare the thought of the son of a slave sharing an inheritance with her son. So, she had Abraham cast away Hagar and Ishmael. But, God promised Hagar that her son would be a great nation, however, that nation will not be included in the covenant made between God and Abraham for that was made for Isaac.

Genesis 17:20-21 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac,……

Another story where Ishmael was belittled was when Isaac, Ishmael’s half-brother, blessed Jacob his son and sent him for a wife. He was absolutely not to take a wife from the Canaanites, which was Ishmael’s land. Esau being upset with Isaac, his father, because his brother, Jacob, got the blessing, went to Ishmael and took Ishmael’s daughter for a wife because he knew it would displease his father. Isaac and Ishmael never seemed to get along.

Do the Islamics actually understand why they hate the Jewish so much? I don’t think they do. I think down the line things changed and as generations are born and grow so does the hatred and the reason for the hatred. Looking back on how it all started I find a sadness for the Muslims. I can understand why they feel the way they do. I feel sadness not so much because they were cast aside but because they do not see the true blessing God has given them. They are so filled with envy, hate, and vengeance that they are blinded from the truth. This begins the message of this blog.

While Islam started out with belief in the same God, there was an infiltration hundreds of years ago. The main character in Islam is Muhammad. Muhammad lived approx. 570 AD-632 AD. He is considered the last prophet sent by God to deliver the Quran, the Islamic holy book. It is said that the angel Gabriel gave Muhammad messages from God to share with his people. He wrote them down and began to teach these words. Muhammad was actually accepted by Christians when he first started out. I won’t go into a lot about Muhammad. I only want to show you how the Islam religion started to change. The King James bible states that Satan and his angels can appear as angels of good. Perhaps this “Gabriel” was merely an imposter of the real one. Just as I believe the angel that spoke to Joseph Smith was an imposter and the angels of many other religions. The Muslim community was heavy into idolatry when Muhammad began. His main messages were about the oneness of a single God. Much like Judaism and Christianity. However, unlike Judaism and Christianity views of “if they don’t join you, avoid them”, Islam turned to “if they don’t join you, kill them”. Not all Muslims adhere to this belief. Just like the Christian faith has different “denominations”, so does the Islamic faith. God turned into someone different and they never knew it happened.

I am a believer that all good believable lies contain hidden truth. Whether it is tone of voice, body movements, or in the words themselves. That is how you can tell if someone is lying. You spot that hidden truth and if it doesn’t jive with the rest of it, then you see the lie. Satan is the master liar. He knows he has to throw some truth out there to make the lie believable. He has worked his way into a nation that was rejected and played upon their misguided faith. These plans he has for the Islamic community coincide with the Christian end time events. That is why I felt a need to study this topic. The Islamic end time events are about to unfold which means that our Christian end time events will soon follow. Let me explain:

Islam eschatology, the study or belief of end time events, centers around someone called the Al-Madhi, their “Ultimate Savior of Mankind”. Some Muslims believe that this man will be the twelfth Imam that is from the lineage of Muhammad and even have the name Muhammad. It is believed that this Imam has been hidden by God until the time to reveal him. I won’t go into the study about this man. My message is to go forward to the Al-Mahdi no matter if he is the twelfth Imam or not. This Al-Mahdi has many titles:

The Guided One

The Awaited One

The Rising One

The Master, or Leader, of the Age

The Guardian of the Era, or Twilight of Man

The Proof of Allah’s Justice

Do you notice how many of these are the same names given about the Christian end times antichrist? The Islamic religion also recognizes Jesus. They call him Isa. Isa is a prophet to the Muslims, not a savior. This Isa will emerge with the Al-Mahdi. This fits into place with the Beast and false prophet of Christian eschatology. The Al-Mahdi will rule for 7 years with Isa as his aid. They will fight against Masih ad-Dajjal, or the false messiah and his followers. Isa will rule for 40 years until his death and he will be buried next to Muhammad (an empty tomb awaits him), who will be the first to rise during the resurrection at the Day of Judgement. Mind you that just like Christian beliefs, there are different views on how or how long these events take place. What I hope to give you are puzzle pieces that we can fit into place. There is so much commonality that these things should not be over looked. Remember Satan places truth within lies.

Let’s look at the commonalities: (borrowed from the website link below)

The antichrist will be a charismatic speaker and leader. So will the Al-Mahdi.

The false prophet will support the antichrist and deceive the world into following him. So will Isa.

The antichrist and the false prophet will have a powerful army that will do great damage to the earth in order to subdue it and follow them. So will the Al-Mahdi and Isa.

The false prophet is described as a Dragon in Lamb’s clothing. Isa will come bearing the name that the world knows as the Lamb of God and yet teach Islam.

The antichrist and the false prophet establish a New World Order. So will the Al-Mahdi and Isa.

The antichrist is said to “change the times”. The Al-Mahdi almost certainly will adopt use of the Islamic calendar for use worldwide, hence changing the times. It is a 12 month calendar of 30 days each with Muslims names.

The antichrist and false Prophet will make a universal and mandatory religion. The Al-Madhi and Isa will institute Islam as the only acceptable religion.

The antichrist and false prophet will execute by beheading anyone who does not accept their religion. The Al-Mahdi and Isa will execute by beheading anyone who does not accept Islam. Beheading has been the official method of execution for Islam since the days of Muhammed and still is to this very day.

The antichrist will have a specific agenda to kill as many Jews as possible. The Al-Mahdi and Isa will have an order from God to root out and kill all Jews.

The antichrist and false prophet will attack and conquer Jerusalem. The Al-Mahdi and Isa will attack and conquer Jerusalem in the name of Islam.

The antichrist will set himself up in the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem as his seat of authority. The Al-Mahdi will establish the Islamic Caliphate from Jerusalem. The Caliphate is a religious and political leader of all Islam and all Muslims. With the whole world having to accept Islam he will in effect be a world ruler from Jerusalem.

The antichrist will make a peace treaty with Israel for 7 years. The Al-Mahdi will rule 7 years.

Jesus at his second coming will defend Jerusalem and Israel from an attack by a gathering of nations led by the antichrist and the false prophet. Islam warns that the Masih ad-Dajjal, the Muslim antichrist or false messiah, will appear and fool Jews into thinking he is Jesus the Messiah and fight for them. The Quran warns Muslims to ignore everything he says and flee from him.

(My Note: It is believed that the Masih ad-Dajjal will appear before the Al-Mahdi and Isa. So I do not see a connection with the Islamic Masih Ad-Dajjal and the real second coming of Jesus Christ. I do see where Jesus said many will come in His name.)

Very interesting read along with www.ridingthebeast.com/comments/666-is-not-a-number-171.html

When I started this study several years ago I just couldn’t fit it together. I knew there was something familiar about the Islamic beliefs. In the King James bible a “beast” is a kingdom/nation. That is what the real angel Gabriel told Daniel. The beast in Revelation is no different. It is not a man. It is a nation. The antichrist is one of the beast’s horns. A ruler/leader of the beast. The forth beast kingdom is the Islamic nation. There is still so much to gather about all of this. But with just this little bit of information we should be able to spot it when things begins.

With so much being in common it would be good to know some of the signs the Muslims are waiting for:

The Al-Mahdi will have a broad forehead, prominent nose, and a mark on his right cheek. He will come from the House of Muhammad of the lineage of Fatima. He will appear after a great conflict in Syria destroys the nation. He will not know who he is at first. His colors will be that of Muhammad, black & unstitched with a halo. He will pray in Mecca with Isa praying behind him.

Isa will emerge with the Al-Mahdi or shortly after. He will descend with each hand on the shoulder of an angel at the point of the white arcade east of Damascus dressed in a light colored robe and his head will be anointed. One of the Hadiths state: The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable gifts).

These characters could show up soon.

Iran: Syrian Crisis Prelude To Coming Of Mahdi

USA Today reported in February 2012 that “The number of Islamic places in the United States soared 74% in the past decade…the overall number of mosques quietly rose from 1,209 in 2000 to 2,106 in 2010.”

Islam is on the rise with many people leaving their religion and converting to Islam. Islam is sneaking into our everyday lives. Christianity is being dropped, shunned, and almost illegal. This is worldwide, including America. It is a step that will make it easier for the Al-Mahdi to take his place.

Like I said earlier, there are many more pieces to fit together but all of this brings new light to the beasts of Revelation. I am going to continue looking into this more. Behold, the mystery is unveiling.

There are many muslim immigrants coming into America from Islamic lands. Many more than we are told about. America is importing these people by the current administration and when the numbers are revealed I think we will all be surprised at just how many are here.

    • Actually, I said I studied the similarities between the religions. I have read some of the Quran, not all of it and I have read some of the stories told in children’s book about Muhammad, Adam and Eve, etc. However, I have read ALL the King James bible. I know what my bible says about Islam. As for the rest of this blog, I got information from different Islamic and Muslim websites and a few websites I found interesting. I also stated that not all Muslims believe the same thing. Which must be your case for being so rude.

If you care that people know the truth of your beliefs, try teaching. Not name calling. Be respectful and teach from your heart because you really believe in your faith and know it is important that others know the truth. If you can not do this, please do not post on my blog.

      May God Bless You

Just for your records, Quran tells Muslims to believe in Torah & Injil “Bible *the real one”.
Because they’re also God’s words. So… How come do you want people to believe what you said.
I understand that you wrote all of this to get to your point you mentioned in the last paragraph. That “Muslims are increasing in USA” which has nothing to do with the main idea of your topic.

*Note: when I said: “Bible the real one” because unlike Quran and Torah, the Bible has many versions and editions which are different than each other in content.
I’m sorry to say this but some of the versions are somehow distorted. You’ll know what I mean if you read it in its original language and compare it to the English version. Another thing with Quran & Torah, that it’s better you read them in their original languages as well. Because some words or phrases cannot be translated into English. Oh… One more thing, the Quran is saved from corruption and distortion until the day of judgment, as said by God.

+An example of wrong translation in the Bible : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cur_6aYs_7k

I’m saying: please educate yourself before you write.
Spreading lies is like being the Antichrist himself.
Rather than warning people about the fact that Muslims are increasing rapidly in the world. Which will not change anything. How about you warn them about the Masonic and the Illuminati that are trying to make people worship Satan. How about all this blasphemy and mocking of Jesus in Hollywood.

After all I respect all your views and opinions and I wish you respect mine.

    Peace.

    • This post isn’t about the spread of Muslims in America. It is about the similarities of our end time characters. I believe we are all tied together closer than we think we are and closer than many would care to admit. My last paragraph was mentioned because Christianity is being taken out which is a part of Christian eschatology. It shows how close we are in prophecy. And, I totally agree that most of the Christian bibles are distorted. In fact, I think they are flat out errant and contain satanic teaching. That is why I only trust the King James and years ago burned all others in my home. As a Christian that is what I read and trust just as a Muslim reads and trusts their bible.

Have you read any of my other posts? I do have posts about the lies Hollywood spreads about Christ and salvation. I also have posts about many common “conspiracy theories”. I have posts about everyday events that Christians do that aren’t very “Christianly”. I am pretty much a Christian against so-called Christians and their fake faith.

I respect your beliefs and thank you for being more intelligent in your post. If you wouldn’t mind, please share your belief about end time events to help me understand better. That is what this post is about. I’m assuming you are Muslim. Please correct me if I am wrong.

      • I agree as well as Bible versions are distorted…but having read a few different Qur’ans as well, they are just as bad…you see, the Jewish Tanakh and the Greek New Testament is the best…one thing that (no offense) Muslims constantly say is that the Bible is corrupt because a lot of versions, even though, in reality, it is just the translating (although a lot of the times is more along the lines of what the publishers think people want to read, instead of the actual translation…i.e. in Rev 6 it talks about the 4 horsemen…white, red, pale, and black…but in the Greek, it tells us that the 4 horsemen are actually white, red, green (chloros) and black…but no one ever heard of a green horse, so they started translating as pale…the Qur’an is a little different in their different versions… once again, no offense, but the newer versions are whitewashing and rewording what original Syro-Aramaic texts in the early 8th century (original text), as well as also translates what they think the readers want to hear…i.e. sura Al-Waqi’ah 56 tells them they get a new “creation” (virgins) after becoming a forerunner (martyr), in sura An-Naba 78 that they would get full breasted, big eyed virgins…but the original Syro-Aramaic text describes full white grapes…but no one wants to suicide for grapes, even though, according to their law (shari’a), mandates lesser jihad against infidels…having read the Bible (various versions {Kj, NKJ, LB, GNV, Tanakh, CJB, Greek}), as well as the Qur’an (cross referenced in the Tafsir ibn Kathir), Sahih Muslim, Sahih Bukhari, the Sunnah (Life of Muhammad) and the Reliance of the Traveller: a sacred manual for Islamic law (Sunni guidelines for shari’a)…every religious text (from Christianity {not the RCC text} and Islam) have distorted versions…

  4. Peace be unto you. There are many misconceptions you hold about Islam. First and foremost, we are never supposed to kill anyone for not accepting Islam as it clearly states in the Qur’an, therefore the Mahdi will not kill those who do not submit.

[2:256] Let there be no Compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

[45:14] Tell those who believe, to forgive those who do not look forward to the Days of Allah. It is for Him to recompense (for good or ill) each People according to what they have earned.

[18:29] Say, ‘The truth is from your Lord’: Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it):……

[10:99] If it had been thy Lord’s will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe?

[24:54]”Say: ‘Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger: but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The Messenger’s duty is only to preach the clear (Message).

[109:1-6]”Say : O ye that reject Faith! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. To you be your Way, and to me mine.

The next point that clearly dismisses the Mahdi as being the Christian anti-Christ is that your antichrist is supposed to proclaim to be God and demand that people worship him. No one in Islam would worship anyone except our Creator, otherwise it is not Islam. However if a man claims to be Jesus (pbuh) and you believe Jesus (pbuh) is God, then you are likely to follow a man who claims to be God when he is not! In Islam we are taught:

[2:139] Say [to the Jews and the Christians]: “Do you argue with us about God? But He is our Sustainer as well as your Sustainer – and unto us shall be accounted our deeds, and unto you, your deeds; and it- is unto Him alone that we devote ourselves.

[3:51] “Verily, God is my Sustainer as well as your Sustainer; so Worship Him [alone]: this is a straight way.”

Exactly as Jesus (pbuh) himself tells you!

    Luke 4:8
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him ONLY shalt thou serve.

The Mahdi is not the antichrist because he will not claim to be God. He will only call you to worship God alone! And he will bring peace and justice to the world! Peace be unto you.

It may be that God sent you that dream to push you into studying Islam, which is the straight path. And I see that you have done so and there is nothing that should stop you at this point from entering into Islam and accepting the truth unless satan is plotting against you with worldly losses. Paradise is the ultimate success and everything else is a deception. I pray God guides you to where you need to be as you have one last step to take. I enjoyed reading this, thank you and God bless.

I am a Christian myself. I’ve also studied both descriptions and it may seem that they resemble the anti-christ and false profet but there is something wrong there.
I am missing something important. The two witnesses who will be killed and lay in the streets of Jerusalem after wich they will come to life again and will rise up to heaven.

They (Mahdi and Isa) could also be these two witnesses who are there at the same time.

After they rise up to heaven Jesus will return and defeat the anti-christ.

So it is still not certain who the “anti-christ” really is.

The future will tell us. 😉

    I quote,

    Revelation 11New International Version (NIV)

    The Two Witnesses
11 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. 2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. 3 And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” 4 They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”[a] 5 If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. 6 They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.

7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified. 9 For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. 10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

11 But after the three and a half days the breath[b] of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.

13 At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14 The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon.

    The Seventh Trumpet
15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:

“The kingdom of the world has become
the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah,
and he will reign for ever and ever.”
16 And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying:

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
    and have begun to reign.
    18 The nations were angry,
    and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your people who revere your name,
    both great and small—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”
19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a severe hailstorm.

    • So, you are thinking the two witness of the christian God could be two Islamic men? One of which the Islams believe is Jesus who will die a permanant death and live no more. His burial spot is already reserved. As a christian you must believe that Jesus defeated death on the cross. He was resurrected and can not die again. He was, is, and will be God that reigns over the earth. Beware of false Christs. Those who come in His name and say they are Him and are not, these do not go to heaven.

You call God the Christian God. I just call Him God. You are under the assumption that the Islamic God is a different God and that this is about two men from this other Islamic God.
I don’t see it that way. Isa = Jesus = man from God.
You also call Jesus God. I don’t. Jesus himself told us not to do so. Not to bow down to him but to God allone. He didn’t want to be put above men. He was very clear about this.
I’m not saying i know it all and i’m not saying you are wrong, maybe you’re right.
I’m just saying that it might not be the way you discribe. You could be wrong.

  8. 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1030-33 I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

When Jesus said “I and my Father are one”, the Jews knew immediately that Jesus was claiming deity. That He HImself said He was God.

    ———————————–

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Jesus said to worship and serve only the Lord thy God. Jesus never rebuked anyone for worshiping Him.

John 20:27-29 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Matthew 28:8-10 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

If you need more scriptures there are many more.

Jesus was God in the flesh. Do you understand the crucifixtion of Jesus? Why God chose to come to us and be the everlasting sacrifice for our sins which he bought and paid for with His own blood? The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. All one and the same being called the Godhead, or trinity in some christian beliefs. If Jesus was not God in the flesh, then the crucifxtion is meaningless and we are all going to die in our sins and burn in hell. Giving us no hope of salvation.

If you are indeed a christian, as you stated above, I think you need a different bible. I suggest a KJV and as I said in the beginning of this study, pray for guidance. You say maybe one of us is right and the other is wrong. Your salvation depends on you being right. If you feel maybe you are wrong, then study more. It is a lukewarm attitude to think, “Eh, maybe I’m right or wrong.”

Revelation 3:15-16 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Or, perhaps your salvation doesn’t matter much to you because you don’t truly believe in the christian God.

If you are not a christian, which I believe, then you are free to believe what you want. It is not my place to judge you, only God’s. And that day is fast approaching.

    Thank you for your answer.
I may be a Christian but i have a different understanding of the Bible.than most Christians. I realise that all to good. I do indeed pray for guidence and he has given me many moments of clarity.
I often think about what certain things mean and i ask for understanding. I also know what it means to follow him all to good. It is a long way to that cross for me and it has not been easy. I’m still not there yet and maybe i’ll never get there at all. I can only try right?

In my understanding many things in the bible are not to be taken literally wich many do.
Everything has a meaning, a valuable lesson so to speak. This is what i search for in the Bible.

You ask me if i understand why the crusifiction of Jesus. Yes i believe i do. I also understand why he asked God if there was any other way then let this pass. But there was and is no other way.

To follow is to suffer and hopefully the selfish ego will die after wich you will be another man. Reborn so to speak.

I know this is not what you believe and that’s oké. You will have your believe and thats oké for you, i have mine and thats oké for me. 😉

    • Actually, that is very close to what I believe. You are correct in saying that not everything in the bible is meant to be literal otherwise Daniel and Revelation would be very unbelievable. Being in the flesh makes us weak. Same thing happened to Jesus. This is why angels ministered to Him often. To give His spirit strength while in the flesh. He loves us so much and to be down here with us in the flesh as one of us was a special moment for Him because while He is in God form He can not be as close to us because of our sins. So, yes, He did for a brief moment, because of His flesh, not want to take that cup, not because of the pain or suffering but, because He didn’t want to leave. Therefore, He sent us a comfortor, the Holy Ghost, to stay with and guide us until He returns. The Holy Ghost is still Jesus, still God, only in a form that He can be nearer to us regardless of our sins.

Learning the bible goes in steps. Each time you read it you will advance to a new level of understanding. It is interesting how God works with us to understand His word. Unlike today’s school system, God is very much a one on one teacher and works with us according to our ability to understand. You may read a book of the bible once and then the next time you read it you will see things you missed before. God will open your understanding when you are ready. Keep studying His word and have that thriving to know truth and He will show you amazing things.

Oké. So maybe we just misunderstood each other. No problem 🙂 I don’t really affiliate with a church simply because i don’t know of any church that preeches what i believe. I think i may have found one but i still have to go there to see. I was raised a catholic and even was an altarboy when i was a kid but i can’t find it in the catholic church anymore. We just grew apart along the way.

    • I am the same. Wasn’t an alterboy but did go to a catholic school as a child. I have in one way or another experienced just about every single chirstian denomiation and none of them are full bible following religions. They pick it apart. The church I go to is 4 hours away from me so it is hard for me to attend very often, however, he sends his free sermons, bible studies, and watchman videos on DVD or you can watch them online. Sometimes he will do a live webcast. Very few times do I disagree with something he says and he will keep you excited about studying the bible.

I don’t believe every christian will be able to find that perfect church until Jesus returns but, to find one that gets you excited and motivated to study outside of church, that is a treasure. God led me to Pastor Mike Hoggard back in 2009. If you are interested, his link is listed on my blogroll. He is an incredible teacher and I’m very thankful to have him on my journey.

I was born into a Christian family. I was raised in church but left the church as an early teen. Like many melanated persons in America, my family from slavery took on traditions of white slave owners and over time conformed to the American way of life. This conformation was forced through whippings and brainwashing. Eventually I was born and I grew to know nothing except what my family taught me which was the American way of life. Most people in America with African roots from slavery know nothing but Christianity. Praise be to ALLAH things are begining to change. Things changed for me my early teen years when I just could not grasp the concept of how Jesus, such an anointed and innocent human being had to die a gruesome death for the sins of the world, which was taught Sunday after Sunday in church. This didnt seem fair to me. I also noticed how people would cry out “Thank you Jesus”, “Jesus my god” and “theres something about the name Jesus”. When I read the KJV of the Bible, I recieved that Jesus was and is a messenger/prophet and he was sent to do the will of the one who created him and that is to preach the Gospel to the Children of Israel so that they might believe and follow the way to the One True God. I realized that Jesus is not God. Jesus was sent by God to minister and reach the lost children and bring them to the knowledge of their creator. Before Jesus was born unto Mary, there was God who creates and controls everything in the Universe. God alone we worship. Jesus even suggested we not worship but God alone we worship and seek aid. God never morphed into a man and walked, ate, had bowel movements and help his privates to make water as man did. ALLAH is way above these actions. It is Allah who allow legs to move to walk. It is Allah who provides us with food and controls our hands to move to our mouths to feed our stomaches. It is Allah who controls every grumble of the intestines to break down foods separating waste from nutrients. To say that Jesus is Allah is blasphemy and idolatry. Remember the commandment WORSHIP THE LORD GOD AND SERVE HIM ONLY. Jesus didnt create us, ALLAH created Adam, Eve, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ishmael, Jesus, Muhammad, you and I. Allah is Alpha and Omega. 1st and the Last. You dont have to be a Christian to follow Christ. God put in me wisdom, knowledge and understanding which directed me down the Straight Path which is Islam. Bible prophesy and Quranic/Islamic prophecies are being fulfilled. As it was said, “Satan hides lies within truth”. And I strongly believe that these lies are inside the Bible and the Christian church/Vatican. The anti Christ that the Bible and Quran speak of is the Romans/Italians/Vatican/Christianity. The Saints are the Orignal Hebrew people of color and Muslims. The world has been decieved by false doctrine for ages and Allah has a time set that is quickly approaching when Jesus and the Mahdi will come and convict the world of sin, reteach (and hopefully we get it right this time) and establish Islam all over the world. I see that Allah is bringing you to the knowledge of truth. I know the deception mixed with the truth of the bible can cause you to see and speak vainly but dont continue to allow Satan to fool you. I see God is leading you to Islam and for good reason. Youre on the right track.WORSHIP Allah and BELIEVE in His Christ. Peace and blessings.

  13. The only thing I can agree with on the post above is that Jesus is not Allah. Jesus is God, Jehovah, the one true God. The God of Abraham, Issac, & Jacob. The creater of all. I suppose I also agree that Jesus is a prophet & messenger. The bible tells me He is.

Revelation 22:13 Jesus said He is the Alpha and Omega.

I will not turn to the Muslim religion. Allah did not show me anything. Jesus did. He is the one that leads me to where I need to be. I appreciate hearing more about the Muslim end time beliefs but I did not study the religion to change my faith. I did it to help people of my faith understand how we are connected and to not only look for our signs but other signs as well. We all share the same sun, moon, and stars. We all see the things going on around our world with every faith. When these things have a pattern we need to watch them. This will help keep us from being deceived into thinking the Mahdi is the Messiah. It will help us to not be decieved into thinking Isa is Jesus Christ. For many will come in His name.

Hello Andre. Peace be with you and your family.

I would like to comment on a couple of things you said. First, if my English isn’t that good it’s because i’m not English or American. I’m Dutch.

From what i understand from your story is that the kind of believe you and your parents were tought is not the Christianity i have come to believe in. Unfortunately there is a lot of misunderstanding about Jesus and what he tought to the people. Many (not all) Christians put their focus to much on the person (Jesus) in stead of the message that he tought. They have come to believe that Jesus was God in the flesh and fallen into idolising the person and don’t really think about what he was trying to teach us. We are supposed to think about what he said. He spoke in metafores, parrabels so to speak and you can’t take this litterally. If you do, you go the wrong way like many actually do unfortunately.

    I quote,

    Matthew 13
10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
13 This is why I speak to them in parables:
    “Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
    “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
    15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
    hear with their ears,
    understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’[a]
16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

I to do not believe that Jesus was God in the flesh. God is spirit not a man. This spirit was in Jesus yes that is true. This spirit also spoke thru him i believe but Jesus was not this spirit, he was a man.
As you said yourself. Jesus himself tought us not to worship him but God (the spirit) alone.

Anyway. It is up to us to think about what he said and try to understand it. Not only his words were parrabels but his whole life was, right up to the point that he “died on the cross” Not for the sins of the world like many believe but as an example to us all. This to is something to think about.

Now. Everybody in the world believes that his believe is the only true believe. If it is a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew or a Budhist. Doesn’t matter. They all believe they have the truth. They can not all,be right.

I believe no one has the full truth about everything. Not even Jesus knew everething but like he said, I know only what He gives me. It is wrong and idle to think we know it all. In fact we know very little.

All we can do is what i stated above. Study what he tought, think about it and with time and life experiance comes the wisdom to understand. Peace by peace. we learn all the time everytime a little more.

I don’t fully understand either but i try to find the wisdom in what he tought us. What matters is that we try to follow his example. Wich is not easy.

If the Islam works for you then that is fine. It is not my place to judge anyone on anything. Like i said, we do not know it all. We know very little.

If you do not agree, that is fine to. You will have your religion and i will have mine. God will tell us who was right. Maybe we both are. We just don’t know now do we?

The name “Muhammad” is written in the Bible in the original Hebrew language.

In the 5th chapter of the Shir haShirim ( שיר השירים ), which is one of the five megilot or Sacred Scrolls that are part of the Hebrew Bible or for short the “Song of Solomon” (also called “Song of Songs”). That chapter is giving a prophecy about an individual to come, a mystery man.

Song of Songs 5:15 compares this prophetic mystery man to the land of “Lebanon” which is the land of the Arabs. This implies that the mystery man would be an Arab.

Verse 15 of the NIV Bible says: “His appearance is like Lebanon”, so this is an Arabic gentleman (or Arab looking).

Verse 11 says: “his head is as the most fine gold, his locks are
wavy, and black as a raven”. Verse 10 describes this man as being “radiant and ruddy” which means he was slightly light-skinned with a rosy color. This physical description matches exactly with the authentic Islamic sources.
Sahih Al Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 747, says Muhammad was slightly light skinned, with a rosy color (and has the same hair as is mentioned in verse 11)

Song of Songs 5:10 says: “My beloved is white and ruddy, pre-eminent above ten thousand.” This is a prophecy of Prophet Muhammad as he conquered Mecca. It is a well known historically documented fact that in the year 630 CE Muhammad entered Mecca as the leader of an army of “ten thousand men”.

In reading the English translation of Song of Songs 5:16 it finishes the description by saying: “He is altogether lovely” but what most people don’t know is that the name of that man was given in the original megilot. Here is the name written in ancient Hebrew as it appears in verse sixteen: מחמד . It is read as : “Mahammad”.

    Hebrew: חִכּוֹ, מַמְתַקִּים, וְכֻלּוֹ, מַחֲמַדִּים; זֶה דוֹדִי וְזֶה רֵעִי, בְּנוֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָם.

English: His mouth is most sweet; yea, he is ALTOGETHER LOVELY. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

There is a plural used together with this Hebrew word, with
the plural it’s pronounced “Mahamadd-im”. The ending letters ‘im’ is a plural of respect, majesty and grandeur for God’s prophet, just as in the word Eloh-im.

According to Ben Yehuda’s Hebrew-English Dictionary, it is correctly pronounced as “Mahammad”.

If you don’t believe me, go to these translator links, paste the name מחמד and then translate it into English. You will see that מחמד is translated as “Muhammad”.

    • Nice cut & paste. Here’s mine:

In English, the verse reads: “His mouth is most sweet, yes, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem!” (NKJV). A phonetic transliteration of the underlying Hebrew text reads: Kheeco mahm-tah-keem vuh-coollo ma-kha-madeem zeh dodee veh-tseh ray-ee beh-note yerushalayim. Muslims claim that the bolded word, though translated “altogether lovely,” is the name of Muhammad (Naik, n.d.). Consider six linguistic evidences that dispute Naik’s claim:

The second syllable (kha) utilizes the Hebrew letter heth which has a hard initial sound like the “ch” in the Scottish word “loch.” It is to be distinguished from the Hebrew letter he which is the same as the English letter “h.” If Muhammad was being referred to, the simple “h” would have been more linguistically appropriate.
Muslims claim that the eem (or im) in ma-kha-madeem in the Hebrew language was “added for respect” (Naik). This claim is untrue and unsubstantiated. The letters constitute the standard form for changing a singular to a plural—like adding “s” or “es” in English (cf. Weingreen, 1959, pp. 35ff.). As the eminent Emil Rödiger (who was professor for oriental languages at the University of Halle and the student of the well-known German Orientalist, H.F.W. Gesenius) noted in his editorial comment in the prestigious Gesenius’ Hebrew Grammar: “The use of the plural as a form of respectful address is quite foreign to Hebrew” (Gesenius, 1898, p. 418).
The meaning of the Hebrew ma-kha-madeem is different from the meaning of the word “Muhammad” in Arabic. According to Sheikh Abd al-Azîz, Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, the word “Muhammad” is derived from the Arabic root word hamd meaning “praise.” It is the emphatic passive participle of that root and can be translated as “the Oft-Praised One” (n.d.). However, the Hebrew term (makh-mahd) in the passage under consideration has a completely different meaning. It refers to “grace, beauty” (Gesenius, 1847, p. 464), “a desirable thing, delightfulness” (Brown, et al., 1906, pp. 326-327), “a pleasant thing” (Payne, 1980, 1:295), or “precious” (Holladay, 1988, p. 190). English translations render the term “altogether lovely” (NKJV, NIV), “wholly desirable” (NASB), and “altogether desirable” (ESV, RSV). No reputable English translation would render the underlying Hebrew as “praised one,” let alone as “Muhammad.” All Muslims have done is happen upon a Hebrew word that phonetically sounds somewhat like “Muhammad” and have erroneously concluded the word must be referring to him. Such handling of linguistic data is irresponsible—if not deceptive.
Further, the claim that Muhammad is intended in the verse completely disregards the context and message of the book of Song of Solomon. The book consists of a dialogue between Solomon, his Shulamite bride-to-be, and the “daughters of Jerusalem,” with perhaps even God interjecting His comment (5:1b), as well as the Shulamite’s brothers (8:8-9). The term used in 5:16 that Muslims claim refers to Muhammad is also used in 2:3 to refer to the Shulamite’s beloved—“Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down in his shade with great delight.” “Great delight” is the Hebrew word also used in 5:16; in both cases the words of the Shulamite refer to her beloved—not Muhammad.
Forms of the same Hebrew word are used elsewhere in the Old Testament, yet Muslims do not claim that those passages refer to Muhammad. Rightly so, since those verses cannot be forced to fit the notion that Muhammad is under consideration. For example, Isaiah 64:11 mourns the destruction of Jerusalem: “Our holy and beautiful temple, where our fathers praised You, is burned up with fire; and all our pleasant things are laid waste.” “Pleasant things” is a form of the same word in Song of Solomon 5:16. Would the Muslim contend that Muhammad was “laid waste” in Jerusalem? Additional occurrences of the same word—which dispel the misuse of the term by Muslims—are seen in 1 Kings 20:6; 2 Chronicles 36:19; Lamentations 1:10,11; Ezekiel 24:16,21,25; Hosea 9:9,16; Joel 3:5; et al. (Wigram, 1890, p. 687).
Even if the Hebrew word “lovely/desirable” in Song of Solomon were the Hebrew equivalent of the Arabic word “praised one” (which it is not), it still would not follow that Muhammad is being referred to in the Bible. Instead, it would simply be an indication that the underlying word stands on its own as a term used for other applications. For example, the Hebrew word for “bitter” is mah-rah. It is used throughout the Old Testament to refer to the concept of bitter. Yet, due to her unpleasant circumstances in life, Naomi (whose name means “pleasant”) requested that her name be changed to “bitter” (mah-rah) to reflect her bitter predicament. It does not follow, however, that when the Hebrew word “bitter” appears in the Old Testament, it refers to Naomi. If parents today were to name their child John, it would not follow that they intended to reflect an association with others in history who have worn the name John—nor would references to John in the Bible constitute prophecies pointing to their son. Muslims have the cart before the horse. Their claim is equivalent to parents naming their child “wonderful” or “special”—and then claiming that an ancient writer had their child in mind when the writer used the word “wonderful” or “special” in referring to another person contemporary to the writer.

The truth of the matter is that the Bible nowhere refers to Muhammad. All other biblical passages purported to do so may likewise be shown to be misinterpreted and misapplied (Miller, 2003). The Bible contains within itself evidence that all non-Christian religions are false and contrary to the will of the God of the Universe (for more, see Miller, 2005).
